Endless Posibilities........ Federal Government Defending the Actions of a Company???????

Stop finding fault and work with Syabas, Putrajaya tells Selangor

Putrajaya has said water concessionaire Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) did the right thing warning consumers about the uncertainty of the water supply disruption in the Klang Valley which the state government had said "created panic among the public".
Energy, Green Technology and Water deputy minister Datuk Mahdzir Khalid said Selangor state exco member Elizabeth Wong should stop finding fault with Syabas and called on her to work with it for consumers' sake.
"I am satisfied with the action taken by the water concessionaire in alerting the consumers about the oil spillage and water disruption.

"Everyone is working to get supply back. So this is not the time to find fault. I do not want to talk about politics. Let's work together," he said after a visit to one of the plants today.
The Selangor government has locked horns with the BN government and Syabas, the main supplier of treated water in the rich state as well as the two neighbouring federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, for the past four years over the Klang Valley's water crisis.
Treated water supply in the country's most developed state was a major campaign in the May 5 general election after Syabas raised the alarm in 2011 of a possible crisis in the near future due to near-zero reserves at the state's water treatment plants.
The federal government has insisted that the state's water crisis can be best prevented through the building of the Langat 2 treatment plant, while the Selangor government has protested the multi-billion ringgit plant, saying that it is too costly and will not enable it to continue providing cheap water for Selangor residents.
Currently it gives domestic consumers free water for up to 20 cubic metres each month.
The undercurrents over this festering issue played out today when Wong lashed out at the water concessionaire for "creating panic among the public" over the diesel spillage at Sungai Selangor which resulted in massive water supply disruptions in the Klang Valley.
"Syabas need not have issued a statement to create furore and trigger panic. Furthermore, the source of the spillage is not as being claimed by the company," Wong told The Malaysian Insider today.
Syabas had classified the situation a Code Red and had last night appealed to consumers to use water prudently as the duration of disruption could not be ascertained.
Klang Valley folk were in a frenzy this morning snatching up bottled water at convenience and neighbourhood stores as taps ran dry.
Mahdzir said the situation had returned to normal but as a precautionary measure, the treated water samples would be tested every two hours for any contamination.
He said that the water disruption which affected one million consumers in seven districts in Selangor due to the closure of the Sungai Selangor Phase 1, 2 and 3 and Rantau Panjang treatment plants, can be avoided if the state has another water treatment plant
"This plant serves consumers in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. This is why we need the Langat 2 project so water users will not be affected," he declared.
The Selangor government, which is in favour of restructuring the state's water services industry, wants to take over Syabas
Earlier it had offered to buy Syabas, Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd (PNSB), Syarikat Pengeluaran Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH) and Konsortium ABASS at RM5.7 billion. The offer was rejected.
Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim was reported to have increased the offer to more than RM9 billion after the polls to take over all assets and liabilities of the companies, including their bonds. - August 31, 2013.

Why DoESn't PornoStar Suggest His Video Be Screened In The Cinema?????Ha ha ha ha ha ..........

SOI LEK'S TRUE COLORS: I support KJ's mobile outdoor screening of Tanda Putera

SOI LEK'S TRUE COLORS: I support KJ's mobile outdoor screening of Tanda Putera
The outcry by the DAP on the screening of Tanda Putera shows the true colours of the DAP.
While on one hand they champion the freedom of expression, on the other hand they are forcing cinemas not to screen the recently released movie.
The DAP adopts selective prosecution and are being double standard in tackling issues.
I am sure Lim Guan Eng has not seen the movie either but his mouth has already shot out absurdities and casting aspersions.
He should not deny the Penang people of a chance to watch the movie and making their own assumptions rather than him making up the minds for the people.
Guan Eng should not underestimate the intelligence of the people and allow the people to decide if they want to watch the movie.
The people are matured enough to rationalise and distinguish what is good and bad for them.
This is what democracy is all about which they always seem to talk about but not teaching what they preach.
Guan Eng claims that the screening of the movie can incite racial hatred but listening to several of DAP’s ceramah, they in fact incite racial hatred.
The speeches of some of its leaders has been known to inflame the hatred of the Chinese towards other ethnic groups.
I support the proposal by the Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin to organise mobile outdoor screenings of the film.
The people should be allowed to decide for themselves whether Tanda Putera depicts the real May 13 incident or otherwise.

No action against SK Seri Pristana headmaster for meals in changing room, say authorities

SK Seri Pristana headmaster Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor escapes any form of punishment over his actions last month. The Malaysian Insider pic, August 30, 2013.SK Seri Pristana headmaster Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor escapes any form of punishment over his actions last month. The Malaysian Insider pic, August 30, 2013.The headmaster at the centre of the SK Seri Pristana controversy has been let off the hook as he "did not commit a crime" when he ordered his pupils to have their meals in the school's shower room.
This was decided at a meeting between Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh and Selangor education department officials on Wednesday night.
Selangor Education Department director Mahmud Karim told The Malaysian Insider that headmaster, Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor, was thinking of the pupils' safety when he ordered them to have the recess in the shower room.

He said the decision to open up the shower room was also conveyed to the school's parent teacher association (PTA) earlier.
However, he said, the mother who had blown the lid on the controversy had obviously not sought any clarification from the school or the PTA.
"The mother who had revealed it on Facebook should have obtained an explanation first from the school before going public," he said when met at his office.
Mahmud also refuted allegations that non-Muslim pupils had been photographed by the school authorities, adding that the department is yet to be informed of the incident.
"Claims that teachers in the school had also discriminated against non-Muslim pupils is also not true. It was all a misunderstanding."
On the recent complaints that police had sought the approval of the headmaster before questioning several pupils, Mahmud refused to comment, only saying, "that is a police matter".
Mahmud reminded teachers in Selangor not to discriminate against pupils based on their race but to treat them like "customers".
"The pupils are at an impressionable age," he said.
Mahmud said the department is arranging for several meetings between parents and teachers of the school to mend the soured relationship.
The Malaysian Insider had on Wednesday reported that police had admitted they questioned several pupils over the shower room canteen issue.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang who had initially denied such claims, later admitted that police had "interviewed and not interrogated" the pupils.
Junaidi said that the police were given permission by the headmaster before entering the school and 30 minutes was allocated to speak to the pupils.
He said that the police could not afford to contact all the parents of the children to seek permission for the interview.
In a press conference on Tuesday, several parents claimed that their children were traumatised by the interview session, claiming that it was carried out without their knowledge.
To date, at least three non-Muslim pupils have been transferred out of the school by their parents, claiming that the school authorities had bullied and intimidated them.
The parents of 10 other pupils said they will also get their children transferred out of SK Seri Pristana. - August 30, 2013.

Woh........ What a genuis? Name of Illegal Gangs Revealed......

How about catching them and put them in jail???????????

Names of 49 illegal gangs revealed (Updated)

Home Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi with the list of the 49 gangs declared illegal, at a press conference at the ministry in Putrajaya on Aug 29, 2013. BERNAMA
PUTRAJAYA (Aug 29, 2013): A total of 49 societies have been gazetted by the Home Ministry as being illegal and involved in organised crime.
The 49 societies includes Gang 04 and Gang 08 which boasts of 5,440 and 4,423-members respectively.
"These secret societies are illegal organisations that conduct activities which threaten public safety, like drug distribution, extortion, fights between secret societies, and murders using firearms or bladed weapons," said Home Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi.
Responding to questions on the racial breakdown of the 40,313 registered gang members, Abdul Rahim said Indians accounted for 28,926, Chinese - 8,214, Malays - 1,293 while 921 were from Sarawak and another 329 from Sabah.
Speaking at a press conference at the Home Ministry here today, he said members of these gangs were also operating as bouncers, car repossession contractors and car park attendants.
Abdul Rahim said the secret societies had been gazetted as illegal societies on Aug 28 under Section 5(1) of the Societies Act 1966.
He said under Section 5(1) of the Societies Act:
> individuals may not be registered as members of such a society,
> all accounts, assets and property belonging to the secret society will be handed over to the Malaysian Insolvency Department, and
> no one may hold any post, conduct work as a member, allow a meeting in any building, collect fees, assist or act for members of an illegal society.
"Those responsible for conducting any secret society activities will be investigated and prosecuted," said Abdul Rahim.
He added that the government would use the Societies Act to seize all assets and property identified as belonging to these societies.
"The Home Ministry and its agencies, the Royal Malaysian Police, the Registrar of Societies, and the Anti-Drug agencies will intensify its efforts to combat the activities of these illegal societies to protect the public," said Abdul Rahim.
Asked what action would be taken on these 49 illegal societies following from yesterday's announcement, Abdul Rahim said current action by law enforcement authorities would continue.
"I think the public feels the intensity of current enforcement activities. We are also working with other government bodies like the Companies Commission and non-governmental organisations," added Abdul Rahim.
He urged the public to actively help the authorities in their efforts to stamp out organised crime and secret societies.

Show Tanda Putera or risk cancellation of licences, Penang cinema operators warned

BY ELIZABETH ZACHARIAH
August 28, 2013
If cinema operators in Penang do not screen controversial movie Tanda Putera tomorrow, they risk having their licences revoked, director Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba warned tonight.
She was reacting to a call by the Penang state government to cinemas not to screen the movie on the May 13 riots.
“As far as we are concerned the screening should go on as scheduled by FINAS Wajib Tayang Committee.

"If the cinema operators do not screen the film as scheduled, their licences can be revoked by FINAS," she said tonight.
The DAP has railed against the controversial film with the MCA joining in to express concerns with the scenes and dialogue that are said to be racially sensitive.
The DAP, especially, has been highly critical of the movie, pointing out that it can stoke racial tension by pinning the 1969 racial riots on the Chinese.
The party has been particularly irked by a purported scene in the movie, which has been linked to a young Lim Kit Siang urinating at a flagpole outside the house of former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Harun Idris.
Kit Siang, who is DAP adviser, denied that such an incident had taken place.
Shuhaimi had earlier insisted that the film is an interpretation of historical events derived from multiple opinions. She also said it is a fictional account of events surrounding the racial riots on May 13, 1969.
She said Guan Eng had erred in issuing the advisory, urging cinema operators not to screen the movie, pointing out that she is a “filmmaker and not his political opponent”.
"If indeed, this instruction came from the chief minister, I find this latest development irrational and incomprehensible as he has not even seen the movie.
"He (Guan Eng) should pick on someone his own size."
Meanwhile, Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek had called Guan Eng's move “narrow-minded”, noting that only the Censorship Board could ban films in the country and the state government should know better.
Tanda Putera was supposed to have been aired last year but was postponed three times following protests against several scenes.
The cost of the movie is about RM4.8 million. It is a joint effort of Persona Pictures, Finas and Multimedia Development Corporation. – August 28, 2013.

Why Not Originated From Mafia?

Indian gangs originated from Chinese triads

PETALING JAYA (Aug 27, 2013): The Gang 04, that made headlines lately, and other notorious gangs with Indians as their core figures such as Gang 08, Gang 36 and Gang 18 originated from Chinese traditional organised crime organisations or triads.
These gangs are now run by Indians and the once Chinese "taiko" (big brothers) have morphed into financial backers, many of whom have legal businesses.
According to a report in Sin Chew Daily today, Federal police (Bukit Aman) Criminal Investigation Department director Deputy Commissioner of Police Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah said Indians account for more than 70% of underground societies followed by Chinese, with more than 25%, and Malays, at 4.77%.
Police sources said Gang 36, and not Gang 04, is the country's most notorious triad. The 36 gang is an off-shoot of the long existing Chinese triad, Hung Meng Hooi.
There are still Chinese in Gang 36 but most of them are financial backers and are involved in real estate and other legal businesses.
Gang 36 started to become active in the '70s and is said to be one of the two gangs responsible for most of the drug dealings in the country. The other is Gang 18.
Gang 04, which saw five of its members shot dead in a police raid recently, is a spin-off from the Wah Kee secret society, which was very active in the '80s.
Criminologist Prof Dr P. Sundramoorthy told Sin Chew that there are over 100 secret societies in Malaysia that have moved out from the strictly disciplined organisational structure of the triads of yesteryears.
Many of them are the result of triad members setting up shop on their own.
"Unlike in the past, the present gangs recruit members from various races and dabble in different kinds of illegal activities such as prostitution, gambling and drugs.
It is hard to estimate their numbers," said Sundramoorthy.
This has led to the mushrooming of Indian-dominated gangs and the more notorious among them are Gangs 04, 08, 18, 21 and 36.
He said many gang members, upon mustering enough support and manpower, break away from their bosses to form their own gangs.
Very often, these spin-offs clash among themselves, adding to social problems and taxing the police force.

Enless Possiblilites............ Robber Cops in BolehLand

Ha ha ha ha ..... Say but true.....

What say you now Zahid! ROBBER COPS

\What say you now Zahid! ROBBER COPS
PETALING JAYA : Saravanan Batumalai had the shock of his life hours after ramming his car into a motorcycle used by two snatch thieves last month: they were off-duty policemen.
The first indication that they were men in blue came when he called 999 after the incident at 12.15pm on July 3 and a police patrol car arrived, only to have the policemen confirm that the motorcycle belonged to the Kelana Jaya police station.
When Saravanan went to the police station to make a report, the investigating officer called in two policemen who turned out to be the ones who had tried to snatch the gold necklace of a woman walking along the road outside his workplace in Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya.
One had been riding the motorcycle while the other was his pillion.
The drama unfolded just after noon that day when the 27-year-old was in his car outside his workplace and saw two men on a motorcycle snatching a woman's necklace.
"I immediately sped up and rammed into their motorbike and both of them fell," Saravanan told theSun today.
One of the thieves got up and fled while the other tried to speed away on the damaged the motorbike and both of them fell," Saravanan told theSun today.
One of the thieves got up and fled while the other tried to speed away on the damaged motorcycle.
Saravanan rammed the motorcycle again, making the thief fall and pinning the machine under the front wheel of his car.
The thief retaliated by throwing stones in Saravanan's direction, missing him but damaging his car further with the windscreen shattered and side dented.
But that was not the end.
"He then took out a knife and lunged at me, pulling off my gold chain, and ran away. I retrieved a gold locket from the ground later which must have been from the woman's necklace," he said, adding that the woman left the scene almost immediately.
Saravanan did not pursue the man because he was armed.
Subsequently, he followed the two policemen who arrived at the scene in their patrol car to the police station at 2pm, where it was confirmed that the two-wheeler belonged to the police after inspection of its chassis number.
It was also revealed that it had been fitted with false number plates.
After a two-hour wait, Inspector Hasbullah asked him to make a statement.
"He called for two men to be brought in. They were the two snatch thieves and I told him so," he said.
One of the patrolmen later told him the duo were policemen.
Saravanan then made a report at the Petaling Jaya police station.
On July 19, Saravanan was called to attend an identification parade where he identified the two cops.
However, after that, he was not contacted by anyone until Sunday, when Inspector Hasbullah called to arrange for him to record another statement.
Saravanan has paid a heavy price for his actions – he had already spent RM3,800 to repair his car bumper and replace its windscreen with other repairs costing an estimated RM4,000.
Selangor Acting Chief Police Officer Datuk A. Thaiveegan has asked Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed for a detailed report on the case.

A Farmer And His Mule

An old hillbilly farmer had a wife who nagged him unmercifully. From morning till night (and sometimes later), she was always complaining about something. The only time he got any relief was when he was out plowing with his old mule. He tried to plow a lot.
One day, when he was out plowing, his wife brought him lunch in the field. He drove the old mule into the shade, sat down on a stump, and began to eat his lunch. Immediately, his wife began arguing with him again. Complain, nag, nag; it just went on and on.
All of a sudden, the old mule lashed out with both hind feet; caught her smack in the back of the head. Killed her dead on the spot.
At the funeral several days later, the minister noticed something rather odd. When a woman mourner would approach the old farmer, he would listen for a minute, then nod his head in agreement; but when a man mourner approached him, he would listen for a minute, then shake his head in disagreement. This was so consistent, the minister decided to ask the old farmer about it.
So after the funeral, the minister spoke to the old farmer, and asked him why he nodded his head and agreed with the women, but always shook his head and disagreed with all the men.
The old farmer said: “Well, the women would come up and say something about how nice my wife looked, or how pretty her dress was, so I’d nod my head in agreement.”
“And what about the men?” the minister asked.
“They wanted to know if the mule was for sale.”

KUALA LUMPUR: The Elections Commission's (EC) priority now is to clean the electoral roll, said EC deputy chairman Datuk Wira Wan Ahmad Wan Omar.
"In fact, we had a workshop the whole of last week to study the process and regulations governing the process as well as discuss the suggestions that have been brought up by the civil society.
"We will be proposing the new registration law to parliament before the next general election," he said at the Seventh Annual Malaysian Student Leaders Summit.
"We will be relying on reliable agencies such as the National Registration Department (NRD), Defence Ministry and police," he said on Sunday.
Wan Ahmad added that the EC would also be engaging with various NGOs to address the various issues and flaws of the current system.
Responding to Bersih Chairman Datuk S. Ambiga's demands for EC to clean the electoral roll before delineation exercise are done, Wan Ahmad said that the point was taken and the EC is coming up with a new registration law.
Wan Ahmad however, said that the EC could not put off their responsibility to continue with the exercise just because one group of people demanded it.
"Although the constitution only says that the exercise should be done every eight years without specifying the maximum years, we still have the responsibility to do it within the stipulated time," he said.

Heavenly Marriage

On their way to get married, a young Catholic couple is involved in a fatal car accident.
The couple find themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for St. Peter to process them into Heaven. While waiting, they begin to wonder: Could they possibly get married in Heaven?
When St.. Peter showed up, they asked him.
St. Peter said, ‘I don’t know. This is the first time anyone has asked. Let me go find out,’ and he leaves.
The couple sat and waited, and waited. Two months passed and the couple are still waiting. As they waited, they discussed that if they were allowed to get married in Heaven, what was the eternal aspect of it all.
‘What if it doesn’t work?’ they wondered, ‘Are we stuck together forever?’
After yet another month, St. Peter finally returns, looking somewhat bedraggled.
‘Yes,’ he informs the couple, ‘you can get married in Heaven.’
‘Great!’ said the couple, ‘But we were just wondering, what if things don’t work out? Could we also get a divorce in Heaven?’
St. Peter, red-faced with anger, slammed his clipboard onto the ground.
‘What’s wrong?’ asked the frightened couple.
‘OH, COME ON!’, St. Peter shouted, ‘It took me three months to find a priest up here! Do you have any idea how long it’ll take me to find a Lawyer?!’

Muhyiddin declares his own working visit to Thailand a SUCCESS

Muhyiddin declares his own working visit to Thailand a SUCCESS
BANGKOK - Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, has hailed his two-day official visit to Thailand, which ended today, a success in boosting bilateral relations and provide encouraging prospects of greater cooperation.

Muhyiddin said the two governments were determined to see what were agreed between the two prime ministers (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Yingluck Shinawatra) would be continued.

"We hope there will be determination to implement whatever projects that were planned, especially those involving the border areas and northern Peninsular Malaysia, so that they will benefit the people," he said.

He said this at a media briefing after a roundtable discussions with captains of the industry from Malaysia and Thailand here today.

The peace process in southern Thailand was one of the topics in the discussions between Muhyiddin and Yingluck last night.

Muhyiddin said Thailand was determined to see that an encouraging peace process be achieved soon.

He said Thailand has also shown keen interest on the 'halal' issues and the two countries had started negotiations on collaboration to raise the 'halal' standards.

Muhyiddin hoped that the private sector would play a role to hasten the use of the 'halal' standards as the government could only act as facilitator.

On the roundtable discussions, Muhyiddin said the Thai companies were keen to expand and increase their investments in Malaysia.

He said the representatives from Thailand had asked about the incentives, support given by the Malaysian government and also its policies in tourism, retail, property and several manufacturing sectors.

"The feedback from Malaysia is that it is interested to see more foreign investments flowing into the country," he said.

On behalf of the Malaysian companies, Muhyiddin said the banks were interested to expand their operations in Thailand and asked for support as well as for more liberal policies from the Thai government.

He said Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Kittirat Na Ranong had explained that the liberalisation trend in the country's banking industry would take place in the next few years.

Kittirat also explained that the Thai government was awaiting the approval from the country's Parliament in relation to the huge funding and budget for development involving railways, ports and highways, he said.

This meant there were potentials for Malaysian companies that were involved in those sectors, he said, adding that Thailand had stated it would invest more than US$60 billion in infrastructure development.

Don’t Listen To Him

A couple had been married for many years, and their son had gotten old enough to date. One day the boy brought a girl over to dinner. The mother was thrilled with her son’s choice and couldn’t wait for the wedding. However, the father was upset and, eventually, the boy asked, “Dad, why don’t you seem happy with her. Mom likes her a lot.”
The father explained, “No son, there’s nothing wrong with the girl. It’s just that I cheated on your mother a long time ago, and the girl you’ve been dating is my daughter by that woman.”
So the boy dumped her and found himself another girl. Again, he brought her home to the mother’s delight, but the father again told him this girl was actually his half-sister. The boy lost his temper and told his mother what his father had said.
Furious, the mother shouted, “Don’t listen to him, sweetheart! He isn’t even your father!”
