There is the ear button present with attached yellow tag "Original Steiff 1318.00 Made in Germany" on one side and "Outer Covering 51% Wool 49% cotton" on the other side. Searching the Steiff web sites, this seems to date 1967-1977. There is light to moderate wear, well seen in the photos: The leather collar is cracked, the fur at the tip of the tail is rubbed, and there is some rubbing to the soles of the feet. This is from a smoke free home, and there is no odor to this item.
