Zaid: Kit Siang would make a better PM than anyone in Umno. Maybe but will he even have a chance to be one... Hahahaha...

Since Umno leaders continue to harp on the prospect of DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang becoming prime minister should Pakatan Harapan win the polls, Zaid Ibrahim believes this might not be a bad idea.
“We are hearing this continuously. If they (Umno leaders) are pushing for it so hard, it might be a good idea,” he told Malaysiakini.
Responding to a question, the former law minister said he has no doubt that Lim would make a better prime minister than anyone in Umno.
He was elaborating on his earlier tweet in response to a Malaysiakini article ,which quoted Umno ministers Salleh Said Keruak and Abdul Rahman Dahlan insisting that Lim would become prime minister if the opposition coalition triumphed in the next election.
“Great idea. Kit Siang will be better than those who abused their trust to the people,” Zaid had tweeted.

Meanwhile, Zaid, who is now a DAP member, told Malaysiakini that Umno ministers are training their guns on Lim (photo) because they are bereft of ideas.
The former Umno lawmaker is also convinced that the scare-mongering would not have the desired effect.
Umno 'don't know what to do'
“They don't know what to do. Who do you attack...You attack Mahathir (Mohamad) and you attack Kit Siang.
“They (Umno leaders) want to hide their issues. So this is a major source of distraction,” he added.
DAP has accused Umno of attempting to instil fear in the Malay electorate by portraying the predominantly Chinese opposition party as a threat to the position of the Malays and Islam.
With Mahathir positioning Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) as an alternative to Umno, and Harapan appointing the former premier as its chairperson, the attacks on DAP have intensified.
The coming general election is poised to witness a crucial battle for Malay votes, with the opposition claiming that a tsunami is taking shape in the Malay heartlands which would drown Umno.
To stave off such a scenario, Umno leaders are repeatedly emphasising that DAP, which holds the most number of seats among the four Harapan parties, is the de facto leader of the coalition.
They claim that DAP would have the final word despite the coalition emphasising on equality and consensus.
They have also accused Mahathir of being a stooge of DAP.
For example, Umno information chief Annuar Musa credited Lim for being able to "tame" the formidable former premier when others failed in the past.
